10/18/11 - “On Court with USPTA” is the cable TV show produced by the United States Professional Tennis Association. In this episode, USPTA Professional Otis Sadler teaches viewers how to hit four different types of serves.

He explains that to be an effective server, players need to be able to hit more than one serve. The key is to serving with variety. He shows viewers how to hit flat, spin, kick and slice serves. Sadler also demonstrates how to change up the location of the serves. He provides tips on other factors that play a role in choosing the right serve and the advantages of each serve. In addition, he demonstrates some fun serving games to practice the four types of serves. This is an action-packed episode of “On Court with USPTA,” you don’t want to miss!

Sadler is the director of junior development at the Houston Racquet Club. He was nationally ranked as a junior. He played at the University of Texas from 1988 to 1993 and was a member of two Southwest Conference Championship teams. He played on the International Satellite Circuit, was the winner of the Men's 30's Hardcourt National Doubles Championship in 2004, and is ranked No. 3 nationally in Men's 30's Doubles. Sadler is also a USTA Junior National Coach, USTA Master Clinician, and USPTA P-1 Certified member. He is the former program director of the Zina Garrison Tennis Academy.

The USPTA became the first tennis-teaching organization ever to produce and air an educational television series on playing and teaching tennis on the Tennis Channel in 2003.
