01/09/07 - TENNIS Magazine, the world’s largest tennis title, today announced the promotion of Hayes Clement to the position of Associate Publisher, Marketing, and the appointment of Matt Sheehan to Marketing Director. The announcement was made by Jeff Williams, Group Publisher of TENNIS Magazine, SMASH and TENNIS.com.
Clement, who was most recently Director of Marketing, will oversee all marketing functions for TENNIS, TENNIS.com and SMASH, including events, promotional materials, program and proposal development, business development and support of other Tennis Company divisions, including the Pacific Life Open (March 5-18, 2007, Indian Wells, CA). Prior to joining Miller Publishing Group, Clement worked in new business development for HBO and in strategy consulting for Price Waterhouse. A graduate of Duke University, Clement earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia. He currently resides in New York City.
As Marketing Director, Sheehan, 27, will be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day and long-term marketing efforts, including events and proposal development for TENNIS Magazine. Sheehan comes to TENNIS from Sports Illustrated, where he worked in several areas including advertising sales, promotions and marketing. Most recently he was the magazine’s Midwest Client Marketing Manager, where he was responsible for developing programs, proposals and sponsorship opportunities in a variety of categories, in-book and online. Sheehan is a graduate of Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Management with a degree in marketing and communications. He currently resides in New York City.
